I am stuck on the nexus hub....I get all the way to shutting down the coolant pumps...I kill the 2 large mechanical guards...Straus radio's me to get out....then this very large undistructable robot comes out and kills me. My objective says to "take the crawlspace to meet up with Straus" however I cant find the crawlspace before getting killed. I have died 30 times trying to find it. PLEASE HELP!!

matriks take cover and fight the strogg if you beat him you win the level. I beat him and I'm only 10 years old

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i keep gittin Killed by the MAKRON, i stay behind the left middle pillar, but he still gets me, how long is it before he uses his gravity gun ? im stuck in nexus oblivion any help would be good fanx

I doubt it's a timed issue. Pretty sure you have to deal a certain amount of damage. Also, he probably can't use the grav-gun on you while you're hiding behind the pillars, so shoot the crap out of him from hiding as much as possible, but do the occasional strafe-run across the hall to the other side to see if he's ready to take you down. The first time he grabbed me with it, I didn't realise it was supposed to happen, and shot him with my grenade launcher (cause that's what I was using at the time), killing myself in the process.

finally i got past the "Makron" grrrr, it's a time thing just stay outta his way i hid behind the corner to the right as you look at the door , when youve used alll your grenades just fire at him and hide repeatadly, then he'll use his grav gun then you can move on phewwwwwwwww. ps.. i'm now stuck fighting Voss in the waste processing facillity.... he's a fooker thinkin off using a Shush (cheat) cant to seem to get em to wurk tho grrr

JUMP key to get out, ... btw, a brilliant site for quake 4 walkthrough, cudnt have passed 'purification centre' defeating the fat blob without the tutorials...ALL thumbs up!

im trying to get some achiviments, rite now the 1 where u only use shotty for a lvl, ive been using cheats to get unlimited ammo, and if beaten the lvls with nothing but shotty, if u use cheats do u not get achievements?

i can help "console help". Your right about the ~, cntrl, alt. but ~ is different in some countries, so you have to press the button under the esc button. E.G cntrl, alt, ¦ (thats pretty cool, i know that and im only 11)

at nexus hub and unable to eliminate the two spidery stream protectors. tried grenades, followed by hyperblaster, shotgun, but no luck. any suggestions?

just blow them up with loads of rockets, that worked me easy, about 5 rockets each needed 2 kill both of them i think...from memory..

thanks for the help. hid behind the columns, then peeked out and shot protector in the head. did this repeatedly with various machine gun weapons.

I dont know why you lot carnt get passed the levels, Ive never played on Quake before and well I played in the hardest level and completed the game in about 2 hours. died once and that was against the nexus. I only found this website because I wanted to know when the next Quake would be out.

Can you run in Quake 4? I know in previous Quakes you could set the conrols to 'always run' I can't seem to go any faster than tactically walking.

clarky, your full of shit. never played quake before. played on hardest level & completed in 2hrs with 1 death. Lies. superior intel - obviously a dickhead with no brain. Flak - when you see something that says "Enter" just Left click - sorted. Tough game, think I have played some of it in a demo before as the strogg medical bit was familiar.

i just popped on this site to see how far i had yo got to complete looks like im only 2 levels from the end. This is the first time ive played quake and it not bad to be honest. But you guys saying youve completed it in 2 hours on the hardest level are just talkin shit. Ive been playing for about 6 hours and died twice. Theres now way you can walk through the game in 2 hours never mind actually killing anything.

in the air defence trench level im at the part where i meet rhino squad

however there seems 2 b a bug where the soldiers don't move out of the way, any suggestions?
