hello very nice guide. Just want to notice that u have forgotten one side quest in chapter 2. U can find a guy that give u another quest.
He is near the sewer entrance and give u access to another part of the sewer.
Also for old friendship, you can also invite zoltan (free ^^) |

A superb guide! not to mention the only really in-depth guide or walkthru for The Witcher I've seen yet--anywhere. Thank heaven Shuck and Lordareon give a damn. Awesome work!
What I can't understand is why people give this guide (or anyone's genuine efforts) a negative vote. What the hell is wrong with you idiots? Can you write a better guide? Have you ever even written a guide? At this rate, why the hell would anyone bother to do anything altruistic for a web audience? No gratitude whatsoever--just a bunch of bitching. |

Yes the guide looks ok,but i must point out as the people who have used it that there are missing bits and maybe wrong information?,like my problem of being stuck in the cave with the two kids, the walkthrough says go to were Alvin is standing and break the wall to get through to the other cave ,the kids will follow?,I cannot break the wall,i'v been stuck in there for two weeks and about to give up because I cannot continue. You have gone on from this stage ,how did you get through?.......please........Ghost123. |

First off, thanks for publishing the Guide. One of the things that I have noticed about guides is that it is just that...a guide. Sometimes there are subtle differences in how a game looks or plays that you just cant capture in a guide. But you can get the basics of the game and it is a good place to look to see if you have done all the stuff you needed to do.....I think it helps a lot.
I would like to see a little more on how to develop a character. I just started playing and chose the easy path. It seems like I am getting more bronze medals than I can use. I have used what I have on strength dexterity intelligence and stamina....is there someplace else to use them? |

Average users score for this guide is 20%??? How come.
An excellent guide, I must say. Maybe its difficult for some people to de-reference the map locations. But it should by no means get such poor rating. |

Soulcatcher,
Don't let the flames get you, remember that it is always easier to complain about someone else's hard work than actually doing it. I was impressed and would be more than happy to help you all in your efforts. |

Soulcatcher... The guide is flawless... I appreciate the fact that you have the only site that doesn't charge for guides. Everyone wants to get paid for advice. But really its just about a person who wants to help others. Because once upon a time, before you master a game. You might be one of the people that need some advice.... |

This is the first of your guides that I have used. I tripped over your site because I was at a loss to find information on The Witcher in the places that I usually look. I am only up to chapter 3 so far and use the guide only when I am hoplessly confused, (unfortunately this happens to me a lot). It is especially fun to finish a quest differently then read up on it and find I could have made more gold and upset fewer npc's by having done it your way, I get a lot of "D'oh!" moments that way.
It takes a bit of getting used to, but I have found it extremely helpful and well done. I just wanted to thank you and let you all know that I really appreciate the effort it takes to do something like this. I am far to lazy to ever take up such an endeavor. |

Just want to thank you... yeah, it's right that maybe lacks information about bronze, silver, gold "talent" but it's not so important... I find really important save me from desperation in a couple of point where I was lost all my hope...
and I really appreciate that it's free and for all, registered and not user ;)
Wonderful work =) I've got tons of ideas. Every of them leads to death. |

This is an excellent guide. By far the best I have found for The Witcher.
However, I cannot help but feel that it would be so much better if the already highlighted names of quests and characters were in fact hyperlinks to the relevant pages. Because of the way TW plays, you have to jump back and fourth a whole lot and it's not always easy to find what you're looking for because there is no quest index.
Still, great guide. Thanks! |

An excellent guide. Anyone who complaints about it does not understand just how much work must have went into it--especially considering that the game is far from technically perfect, far from linear, and has many "Easter Eggs." It is certainly the best I've seen, and the availability of comments and clues from other readers only makes it better. I played The Witcher before even seeking this guide, and after I read through it, I realized just how much I had missed. It made playing the game again far more enjoyable for me, rather than boring repetition.
I have no complaints about the guide . . . but I do have a recommendation, for updates or for future guides. While the walkthrough helped me to solve problems and find new adventures, what I really needed, early on, were hints and advice about the basic mechanics of the game. For example, I kept wondering whether it was OK to loot things from people's homes, and I didn't fully understand the extent and importance of alchemy, and I didn't fully understand the use of talents to improve Geralt.
Thanks for the guide. I enjoyed The Witcher far more, thanks to your efforts. |

Hello
I hope someone might have some insight on this situation. I am in the middle of the quest Salamandra Territory and I am told to go to the sewers meet someone in a specific place, then someone will come in with a ladder and prop it up to a window which allows the Whicher to get into the restricted areas. The snap is that I meet the guards at the meeting point but no one brings a ladder, I checked to see if I might have not completed a specific quest or what but can't find the snag. Could it be my character is not high enough lvl??
Thanks for any help offered

If you haven't found them or how to make them yet, you are too green to go into the crypts. Soon enough as you progress these things will come to you and then you might be able to survive the battles there. Have fun, been a long time since I played it but yes it was a lot of fun. Just a lot of options and you have to be consistent. and which way you choose determines the story. |

Thank you Mongo 1 but don't I need to tackle the crypts to get into the city, progress further in the story and finally get my blasted silver sword?
Guess I could revert to the guide huh? |

Yes, as soon as you progress enough to do so, tough battles ahead and you have to be prepared. |
