When looting the farmhouse, be sure to scarf up all the silver dinnerware that's laying about. It will help furnish out your house when/if you get one. Make sure you search around the bodies for a magical weapon. The first one to talk to me in the farmhouse was carrying a curved knife (Attack: 4) that dealt an additional -10 to Intelligence and -10 to Magika for 20 seconds per hit. Also, killing the three wenches apparently meets the requirements for getting a nighttime recruiting visit from the Dark Brotherhood (if you haven't already been approached). To CONFUSED: As a female, they offer you the job and invite you to the house, but you still have to turn them down and fight them once you get there. You're the last visitor they get at the farmhouse, and you're not likely to be able to entice anyone else up there as it seems the entire town's male population has already been fleeced with this scam (based on the amount of "previously owned" loot in the basement LOL.

You have to have picked up the skeleton hand and read the diary that fell when you defeated the ghosts. If you walk into the manor using the front door it is immediately to your left on the floor in front of the bookshelf (I think it's a bookshelf or a cupboard) either way as soon as you walk in turn to your left and look down you will find it. Once you pick that up he will follow you back to the manor.

No the hand and journal entry is to the left if you are walking into the house and on the right if you are walking out of the house. Just check the main room where you come into the mansion once you have defeated all of the ghosts.

Try going down, getting the ghosts to follow you, then going up to the captains quarters and hide in his table room. The ghosts cant get through and you can take cheap shots at them with magic. (Sometimes they will open and close the door repeatedly, making it a little more challenging, but also funny).

Benirus Manor cost me 4000... It's a real deal if you can finish the quest. My first character file became corrupted and mostly unworkable. I had almost 600K gold and bought the house in Chorral for 20K plus 30K to furnish it.

to the west of Anvil, there is an island. Go to the island. After you get on the island, you go west to the ocean. HINT: You may need a water breathing spell or potion, etc. Anyway, if you go under water in the ocean, you keep going west until you find a glowing object(it's probably behind a rock). It is a magical helmet. It gives you night-eye, sense enemy life, and the ability to breath under water. I AM NOT JOKING!!!! I FOUND IT MYSELF!! Hope you enjoy it when you get it.

There u should see some big rocks and between them is a nonactive skeleton. go to the road right of Leyawiin and keep traveling up the road until u find a shrine with a statue surrounded by a few people. talk to the statue and u should be given a quest to find this artifact of an eye. the quest might be a little hard and it might take awhile. however, when u retrieve the eye, bring it back to the statue and it will give u the skeleton key. here is a cool way to get dark brotherhood stuff and be able to keep it forever without joining the guild. first, go to bruma and enter J'Ghasta's house. there is a barrel with a lock on it (V Hard). open nit and you will see some dark brotherhood stuff. take it and sell it to a fence, and then buy it back. now, when you go to jail, they wont be taken off you. the stat boosts are +11 to Sneak, Illusion, Marksman, Blade, and Speechcraft.

i found the answer to the benirus mansion quest. you have to have the skeletal hand and the note in your inventory in order for him to come back with you to anvil. yay for me. you all are welcome
